The congregation of The Presbyterian Church in Morristown welcomes the Rev. Leslie Dobbs-Allsopp this month.
MORRISTOWN, NJ – JAN. 21, 2021 –The Presbyterian Church in Morristown (PCM) welcomes The Reverend Leslie Dobbs-Allsopp as its Interim Senior Pastor and head of staff.
Session members recognize Pastor Leslie for her years of experience in transitional leadership and are confident she will bring leadership and support for the road ahead.
A Louisville KY native and a graduate of Duke University and Princeton Theological Seminary, Pastor Leslie has served pastorates in MD, NY, NJ, and PA. She has taken interim and transitional training with the Interim Ministry Network and the Synods of Lincoln Trails and Mid-America, and has been serving in transitional and interim ministries since 2008.
Pastor Leslie has served as the Interim/Transitional Pastor for congregations in Madison, New Brunswick, Woodbridge NJ, and Abington PA. Since 2017, she has been the Interim Leader for Elizabeth Presbytery, and during the pandemic, assumed leadership responsibilities for the New Brunswick Presbytery.
Pastor Leslie lives with her husband Chip in Princeton NJ. They have two sons, ages 28 and 23. Pastor Leslie enjoys needle arts, Liverpool and Arsenal football, Duke basketball, long walks, and gardening among other pastimes. She is excited about this opportunity to return to the rhythms of congregational ministry, and to serve with the PCM during this time of transition.
