State Police are investigating a fatal crash Wednesday morning on eastbound Route 24 in Hanover Township.
One fatality was confirmed, with multiple injuries, State Police said via Twitter. The accident was reported at 10:14 am. Video from TV news helicopters appeared to show a van overturned in a wooded embankment off the highway.
Morris Township police advised motorists to avoid eastbound Route 24. Although the on-bound ramp from Hanover Avenue/Whippany Road has reopened, vehicles are being detoured off the highway at exit 2A/Columbia Turnpike because of a crash.
