Rail service will be suspended at least through the early morning on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, NJ Transit said on Wednesday night as Winter Storm Gail dumped heavy snow on Greater Morristown.

“NJ TRANSIT crews continue to work during the overnight throughout the system to address storm-related damages and will make a full system safety assessment before service can be restored,” the service said in a statement.

“NJ TRANSIT will work to resume service as soon as possible. Before leaving the house, customers should visit njtransit.com for the latest service information. We continue to urge customers to reserve travel for essential purposes only.”
