You want Jingle Bells?

Here they are, all 18 tons of them.

Today’s episode of Happy Virtual Holidays is new to our video vault. Josh Stafford performed this classic last weekend, climbing 100 steps to the tower of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown to deliver 49 jingling bells of bronze.

These bells are among the 49 that make up the 18 tons of music makers in the St. Peter’s carillon. Sharon Sheridan photo.

The livestreamed event picked up where Stafford left off in the spring, when he buoyed spirits with lunchtime bell serenades.

St. Peter’s award-winning organist is getting rave reviews from the North Pole–though the backdrop for Saturday’s carillon carol looked more like the moors of Morristown.

If Heathcliff and Cathy ever get their own holiday special, here’s their soundtrack…
