From the Morristown Democratic Committee:

Georgia On Our Mind” — Write Letters; Save the Senate

The Morristown Democratic Committee has “Georgia on its mind.” Their goal is to help save the Senate by initiating a letter-writing campaign that encourages Georgians to vote in the upcoming U.S. Senate runoff election on Jan. 5, 2021.

The letters communicate information about the need to deliver great health care, to invest in clean energy and infrastructure, and to rebuild the economy so working families and small businesses thrive.

Connecting with the Working America organization’s letter-writing project, volunteers are asked to personalize and print out letters, address them, and stuff envelopes. Working America has thoroughly researched this approach for appealing to voters to act. Their mailing list includes working people in Georgia with whom theyve established consistent relationships through the years.

Our plan is to send a thousand letters from Morristown and we have five weeks to do it. We have five weeks until we take back the Senate and put the country on the path to success,” said Aaron (AJ) Oliver, Morristown Democratic Committee Chair.

Oliver added, We’ve been so lucky and grateful to have engaged many willing and generous volunteers during this election cycle. Our voter registration and literature outreach in October were very successful. But Georgia is on our mind! We need this one last effort to win the Georgia races and take back the Senate!
