If you see a guy running…and running…and running around the Morristown Green this Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, odds are, it’s Matt Conner.
The owner of Boomerang Fitness plans to log 60 miles circling the historic quarter-square-mile downtown park.
He’s trying to raise $60,000 for men’s health causes through the Movember foundation.
“The fundraiser is a response to my business receiving a grant from the Morristown Partnership for COVID rent relief that was funded by a group of individuals from Morristown.
“I was taken aback by these individuals’ kindness and generosity– and this is my way of paying that charity forward,” Conner told MorristownGreen.com.

The Partnership raised nearly $680,000 from area philanthropists and foundations this fall to cover three months of rent for 62 local businesses through January 2021.
Conner called the grant a “light-switch moment,” illuminating what threatened to be a dark pandemic winter. Savings, unemployment and a loan from the federal Paycheck Protection Program got him through the spring.
He opened Boomerang last year, after working since 2009 as a trainer at that location, formerly called Make Time for Fitness.
Causes that Conner’s run will support include prostate- and testicular cancer, suicide prevention and mental health. So far, he has received almost $7,000 in pledges.
