Merry Halloween!
The Morris Plains Community Band presents its annual Holiday Concert early this year — on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, to be precise.
Band leader Larry Ripley figures the pandemic may make indoor concerts unlikely during the Yule season. So he is offering Christmas in October, at 2 pm in the parking lot of the Morris Plains Presbyterian Church, 400 Speedwell Ave.
For the finale, the band will be joined by the Morris Plains Community Choir, singing carols and the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah.
Please bring a lawn chair and mask, and hope for good weather — there is no rain date.
