NEW YORK — Hindsight is 2020 for Chris Christie, who now sees the connection between masks and COVID-19.

“I believed when I entered the White House grounds, that I had entered a safe zone, due to the testing that I and many others underwent every day,” the former New Jersey governor told The New York Times Thursday.

  1. @ Michael Baron – I missed the report on the quality of his care and his out of pocket costs. Seems like hollow well-wishes when your second question is “what did it cost?” Would any amount be enough from your perspective? What would you think if your neighbor said, “Hey Michael, good to see you, heard you were in the hospital..all is well? What did it cost?”

  2. It is great news that Gov. Christie has recovered form the virus ans was able to return home. Being who he is meant he received the best care possible that the average person does not receive. I will add that the out of pocket cost to him for his hospital stay cost zero. Gov. Christie, please share with us your out of pocket cost if you actually had to pay something out of pocket.
I was in the same hospital and had a private room. The hospital billed $ 6,980 per night and my insurance paid a large part of it. However, I did have an out of pocket cost.
Gov. Christie, your hospital stay was the perfect opportunity to work with the dieticians on staff. This would have afforded you the opportunity to receive a wealth of information related to “everything food”. I hope you availed yourself of this valuable resource.
Best wishes for continuing to be safe and healthy.
