From Morris Township police:
On Saturday evening there was an attempted theft from a vehicle on Bedford Place and a vehicle was stolen from Overlook Road.
The vehicle stolen was left unlocked with the keys to the vehicle left inside. The vehicle has since been located in Newark, NJ.
The vehicles stolen are often used to commit other crimes, sometimes violent crimes. Residents must lock their vehicle doors, remove keys and valuables. Please share this message with your family, friends and neighbors. A locked vehicle almost all the time deters the criminals from further action.
