Morristown’s Burnham Park Pool, closed for two days “in an abundance of caution” after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus, will reopen on Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, town Administrator Jillian Barrick said on Thursday.
All touch areas of the facility have been sanitized, Barrick said.
She declined to discuss the condition, or other details, of the individual with the virus. That person most recently worked at the pool on Tuesday, Monday and Saturday.
Temperatures of pool employees are screened when they report to work, Barrick said.
Health officials will reach out to people who had prolonged, close contact with the employee, according to a notice from the town. Anyone who had close contact is advised to self-quarantine for 14 days. The town is referring questions to it health division at (973) 796-1975.
