Verrilli’s Bakery recently did some fundraising to provide Morristown Neighborhood House families with pizza pies every Tuesday.

The Verilli Bakery.

Verrilli’s planned to do this for one or two weeks during summer camp. But the outpouring of love was tremendous, reports the Nabe, and the bakery will be providing pies into the new school year as the pandemic continues to challenge everyone.

“This is home. I was born and raised here,” said Kristi Dimogerodakis of Verrilli’s, at 3 Martin Luther King Ave.

“My son played at the Neighborhood House, he was on the basketball team. We’ve both been educated in the school district. We’ve had businesses in town all our lives. So what better to give to than your home town, and making sure that they are good?”

The Morristown Neighborhood House thanks Verrrilli’s Bakery for donating pizzas, August 2020.

The Neighborhood House, which now is part of Cornerstone Family Programs, has been helping immigrants and low-income families since 1898.

Here is the Nabe’s video thank you to Verrilli’s:
