From Preschool Advantage:

Preschool Advantage, a Morristown-based non-profit organization, announces the appointment of Nancy Bangiola as executive director.

Bangiola, a licensed attorney, comes to Preschool Advantage from the Morris County Bar Association and Foundation, where she served as executive director for 11 years, a position she came to after nearly 20 years in private practice specializing in Elder Law.

Bangiola is a leader in the non-profit sector. She has lectured and led retreats on boardsmanship, strategic planning and crisis response. She is excited to return to Preschool Advantage in a new capacity, having served as a founding member and subsequently as a trustee of the organization from 1998-2008.

Bangiola is the current president of the Morris School District Board of Education where she has served for the past 16 years. She has also served as the Board’s Chair of Negotiations, successfully settling three union contracts on behalf of the district while maintaining a collaborative and respectful relationship with the administration, teachers, and staff.

Nancy is committed to fiscal responsibility within the District, working with the Superintendent and the Board to oversee a $120-million-dollar budget that funds education for 5,200 students and supports 1,000 professional and support staff across 10 schools, while reducing the District’s long term debt to zero.

Bangiola welcomes the opportunity to join her passion for public education with her experience as a leader of non-profit organizations.

Deeply rooted in Morristown, a community she has served in many capacities for 35 years, Bangiola also serves as president of the Morristown/Morris Township Public Library Board of Trustees. She is also a trustee and board secretary for the Washington Association of New Jersey, a member of the Shakespeare Reading Club of Morristown, and a long-standing member of the Harmonium Choral Society.

Bangiola has dedicated her life to serving her community, and in particular to making quality education available to all children in the Morristown area.

Bangiola holds a B.A. from Trinity University in Washington, DC, and a J.D. from Seton Hall University Law School. Bangiola succeeds Molly Dunn, who is retiring after seven years at the helm of the organization.
