Check out the latest virtual exhibit from Morris Arts,  Vanishing Worlds.

Opera at Florham is posting videos of its past events, featuring young opera singers in 10 performances.

Take a virtual walking tour with the Morris County Tourism Bureau.

Catch an original short film, courtesy of the Thomas Edison Media Arts Consortium and Black Maria Films — and try one of their healthy recipes for “dinner and a show” in the comfort of home.

THURSDAY, MAY 28, 2020:

Join a 7 pm discussion of Edith Wharton’s The Age of Innocence, a novel celebrating its 100th anniversary, hosted by the Morristown and Morris Township Library for its “Virtual Classics Book Club” series. All are welcome.


FRIDAY, MAY 29:

The Mayo Performing Arts Center presents singer songwriter Alisa Amador live, online, at 12:30 pm. She began her career at age 5, singing backup vocals with her parents’ Latin band Sol y Canto. Amador’s brand of folk rock draws upon Latin, Soul, Jazz, and Blues influences. Vance Gilbert describes her as “Shawn Colvin meets Joni Mitchell has lunch with Amy Winehouse meets Suzanne Vega and Diana Krall.”

The Folk Project continues its Acoustic Stayaway series with a 7 pm livestream concert by Kipyn Martin.  Best known as half of the duet “Joan & Joni,” Martin also has a formidable collection of original songs to share.

Singer-songwriter Carla Ulbrich specializes in making people laugh. Check out her free concert series at 7:30 pm, on YouTube and Facebook.

More laughs–and PPE resources for frontline medical workers–are coming from National Lampoon, which streams a comedy show at 8 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. Host Harrison Greenbaum welcomes popular comedic guests, while raising funds for the COVID Foundation.

Broadway Cares and Equity Fights AIDS present Chita: A Legendary Celebration, a virtual event at 8 pm featuring interviews with Chita Rivera, as well as performances by Rivera and other Broadway stars.


SATURDAY, MAY 30:

Fresh off the release of her EP Classic, singer Brynn Stanley shares her silky stylings and girl-next-door charm from her living room, every week at 8 pm.


SUNDAY, MAY 31:

The Folk Project presents Joe Guzzo’s Stayaway Sundays Show at 3 pm. Guzzo shares performances and interviews with Folk Project favorites.
