Gov. Phil Murphy on Friday said he will sign an executive order allowing outdoor gatherings of up to 25 people.  Indoor groups remain limited to a maximum of 10 persons.

The new 25-individual number does not apply to outdoor graduations or outdoor dining, reports NJTV.

Recreational campgrounds and batting cages may reopen, and charter- and fishing boats are allowed, too.

Murphy continues to urge the public to wear masks in public and to practice social distancing.

The governor also announced that public universities and colleges will share $68.8 million in federal CARES Act funding.
