Call it the Rollin’ of the Green.

Yes, the coronavirus pandemic caused the cancellation of last month’s Morris County St. Patrick’s Parade.

But parade organizers re-grouped Monday night, in an emerald caravan to Morristown Medical Center, where a green fire truck delivered the first installment of 1,000 meals the parade committee has purchased for hospital workers from Chick-fil-A of Morris Plains.

Pipers and drummers played–from an appropriate social distance–and a procession of drivers honked and waved at masked hospital employees who greeted the spectacle.

The parade committee has donated $5,000 to keep these pandemic warriors fed.  An army marches on its stomach, after all.
