Here’s a way to say thanks to Morristown Medical Center staffers on the front lines of the coronavirus war, while helping support local restaurants struggling to stay in business.
Serve It Forward was announced Wednesday by Mayor Tim Dougherty and Atlantic Health. Here are details.
From Mayor Tim Dougherty and Atlantic Health:
Health care providers are on the front lines of the current global COVID-19 crisis. We are fortunate to have local heroes working tirelessly to care for our friends and neighbors in the Morristown community.
We are pleased to announce that a plan has been developed to rally together and support these extraordinary caregivers. With this goal in mind, the Mayor’s office has created the Serve it Forward program to help provide sustenance to front line health care professionals at Atlantic Health System.
Using Serve it Forward, you can purchase gift cards from our local restaurants for donation. In turn, Atlantic Health System’s Morristown Medical Center will distribute the cards to hospital workers such as doctors, nurses, and other team members.
As a simultaneous benefit, Serve it Forward will help support our local food establishments and their employees by infusing much needed revenue into the community.
Depending on the restaurant, you can purchase gift cards for Serve it Forward online or by phone. For more information see Serve it Forward or contact David Walters.
Thank you for participating in Serve it Forward and supporting our local health care professionals as they help us through this unprecedented crisis.
