THURSDAY, FEB. 27, 2020:

The Morristown & Township Library continues its Film Noir series with  Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), starring Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer, at 2 pm and 6:45 pm. Free, light refreshments. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

Morristown’s Mayo Performing Arts Center presents a free screening of Harriet, starring Oscar-nominated actress Cynthia Erivo, at 7 pm.  All free tickets were reserved, but some may be handed back, so call 973-539-8008. At 100 South St.

The North Jersey Civil War Round Table presents historian and author John Hayward, to discuss The 5th New Jersey Regiment and the Battle of Gettysburg, at 7:14 pm. Admission: $5; students, free. In the auditorium of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, 155 East Hanover Ave., Morris Township.


FRIDAY, FEB. 28:

Morning Yoga with Munah Hayes returns to the Morristown & Township Library at 9:30 am. Free. Bring a yoga mat. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

Madison’s Grace Church presents its free Friday lunchtime Lenten organ series with a 12:15 pm concert by Music Director Anne Matlack performing hymns based on folksongs. Sliders and salads will be available for $8. At 4 Main St., 973-377-0106 extension 17. The weekly series runs through April 3, 2020.

Cornerstone Family Programs presents a jazz reception and preview of the Black History Month weekend exhibition For the Love of Art, at 6:30 pm at the Morristown Neighborhood House. Admission: $20-$25. Refreshments, cash bar. For more, email here or call 973-538-1229. At 12 Flagler St.

The Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series in Morris Township presents Poor Man’s Gambit with opener Sam Edelston at 7:30 pm in Morris Township. Admission: $10; children 12 and under, free. At the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road.

SATURDAY, FEB. 29:

Cornerstone Family Programs presents a Black History Month art exhibit and talent showcase from 10 am to 5 pm at the Morristown Neighborhood House. Admission: Free, donations gladly accepted. At 12 Flagler St., Morristown.

The Big Beer Brew Fest returns to the Morristown Armory in Morris Township, with two sessions between noon and 9:30 pm. Admission: $65, $15 for designated driver. At 430 Western Ave.

SUNDAY, MARCH 1:

Grow It Green Morristown hosts the Seventh Annual Winter Farmers Market, from 10 am to 1 pm at the Alexander Hamilton School in Morristown. More than a dozen regional vendors sell everything from pasture-fed meat to winter produce, every Sunday through March 29, 2020.

The Wind of the Spirit Immigration Resource Center presents ReThink Plastic, a two-hour training session on the health impacts of plastics, at 1 pm at the Presbyterian Church of Madison, 19 Green Ave. Free, but RSVP is required. For more details, email here or call 973-538-2035.

The Rotary Club of Morristown is back with A Taste of Morristown, a sampling of the best cuisine and libations that Greater Morristown has to offer, at the Westin Governor Morris Hotel in Morristown. Tickets: $100 VIP brings first tastings at 6 PM, or $65 for general admission at 7 PM. More information is here, or at 239-272-0810.
