From the Morristown Rotary:

Where can you go to enjoy an evening of fine wine and an international assortment of delicious food, all generously provided by our local restaurants and wine purveyors?

What service organization sponsors this extraordinary event, all for the benefit of our local non-profits and those in need in our community?

The Rotary Club of Morristown has been around for almost 100 years as a member club of Rotary International, living up to the motto of Service Above Self.

Each year the club raises funds for grants, service projects and support for the local community. A Taste of Morristown is the Rotary Club of Morristown’s major annual fundraiser, with all proceeds being put back into the community in which we live and work.

Last year, the club provided grants to: The Deidre O’Brien Child Advocacy Center, First Night Morris 365, Girl Scouts of NNJ, Kasasule Health Center, Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, Museum of Imagination and Innovation, CASA, and the Community Soup Kitchen.

A veterans program also was established to provide much-needed supplies to veterans in transitional housing.

In addition, funding was provided for a scholarship program at Morristown High School and an essay contest for Morristown School District 4th grade students, and more than 2,000 books were collected by Rotarians at the Morristown Festival of Books and distributed to area school programs.

On Monday, March 2, 2020, at the Westin Governor Morris Hotel, more than 40 area restaurants will provide tastings of their fine food, along with wine and spirits donations coordinated by Gary’s Wines.

There are two ways to attend: As a VIP for $100, with entry to the event at 6 PM and first tastings, or $65 for general admissions at 7 PM. Tickets are available from your local Rotarians, or through Event Brite
