Between two and four inches of snow are anticipated for Greater Morristown on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, according to a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service.

Which means…

Morristown residents can park free in three Morristown Parking Authority garages, reports Mayor Tim Dougherty’s office.

The garages:

  • DALTON GARAGE at Cattano Avenue
  • DEHART STREET GARAGE
  • BANK STREET

The time:

From noon on Saturday through 10 am on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020.  You may be required to show your driver’s license as proof of residency to have parking fees waived.

Now, as for that advisory…

It extends from 10 am Saturday through 1 am on Sunday:

Snow is expected to develop west to east from Saturday morning into the afternoon. The heaviest snow will likely occur from mid to late afternoon. Snow will likely
mix with sleet and rain by early Saturday evening before tapering off overnight…

Plan on slippery road conditions.
