From the Women’s Association of Morristown Medical Center:
SQUARE ACRE STUDIO SELECTED TO
CREATE LANDSCAPE MASTER PLAN FOR MANSION IN MAY 2020
The Women’s Association of Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC) is pleased to announce that Tom Salaki, principal of Square Acre Studio, has been selected to create the master plan for the landscape design for Tyvan Hill, the site of Mansion in May 2020.
Tom Salaki brings his expertise to develop the master plan that will enable many prominent landscape design firms to transform the grounds of this New Vernon, NJ, country estate.
Katie Nolle, Mansion in May landscape design co-chair, said, “We are enjoying working with Tom; his energy and enthusiasm are perfect for a project of this magnitude. The completed gardens will showcase the beauty of this elegant country estate. Tom’s generous contributions to the upcoming Mansion in May will certainly make the grounds a ‘must see’ visitor experience.”
“While the mansion is an impressive piece of architectural history, the land it sits upon gives it a truly authentic country manor experience,” said Salaki.
“I’m inspired by the property with its impressive vistas and backdrops. The land sets itself up for an incredible showing of the landscape design spaces, and we are eager to work with other talented landscape design firms.”
For Mansion in May 2020, Square Acre Studio will be creating a welcoming entrance for the estate and recreating the tulip garden found in the original landscape design plans for Tyvan Hill.
Mansion in May at Tyvan Hill will showcase all the latest technology in lighting design, hardscape design, plant selection, structures, fountains, sculptures and outdoor furniture.
Mansion in May is the preeminent designer showhouse in the New Jersey-New York area, attracting over 33,000 visitors. Tyvan Hill will be open to the public for Mansion in May from May 1 to May 31, 2020.
Funds raised by Mansion in May 2020 will contribute to the expansion of the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Morristown Medical Center. For more information about Mansion in May 2020, please visit the website at www.mansioninmay.org.
