The Morristown Council meeting scheduled for this evening, Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, has been cancelled.

Town Clerk Margot Kaye said the seven-member council lacked a quorum.

This was to have been the final council meeting for Councilwoman Alison Deeb, who has represented the Fourth Ward for 12 years. The council’s lone Republican was defeated in November by Democrat Sandi Mayer.

Councilwoman Hiliari Davis attended her final council meeting earlier this month. She represented the Second Ward for one term, and was unseated in the June Democratic primary by Tawanna Cotten. Davis announced at the Dec. 3 meeting that she would be on her honeymoon for this one.

Here’s what the council would have discussed tonight.
