You can’t keep a good elf down.

Wintry weather postponed Santa’s planned arrival in Morristown on Sunday night. But the town will welcome him this Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, starting at 6:15 pm on the Morristown Green.

Santa’s not landing on any rooftops this time. But he will lead the traditional countdown to officially illuminate the Green’s holiday lights, according to the Morristown Partnership, organizers of The Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green, which runs each weekend through Dec. 22.

At 7 pm, the Morris Choral Society will sing, followed at 7:30 pm by a mini-concert by singers from the Mayo Performing Arts Center Performing Arts Company. The Hyatt Regency Morristown will provide hot chocolate and cookies.

From 7 pm to 8 pm, Santa will settle into his house for visits from kids, and photos ($10).

The full Festival schedule is here.
