Snow Day No. 1? Morris School District delayed opening, Dec. 2

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Kids in the Morris School District will have a two-hour delayed opening on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, thanks to a winter storm warning .

Superintendent Mackey Pendergrast said he will evaluate conditions in the morning, and will decide by 7.30 am if classes will be canceled.

The Sunrise program won’t be running on Monday.

Eight- to 12 inches of snow are predicted for Greater Morristown, along with some icy conditions, before the storm warning expires at 4 a.m. Tuesday.

The district serves students from Morristown, Morris Township and (high school only) Morris Plains.
