The Interfaith Food Pantry and the Literacy Volunteers of Morris County present the 13th Annual Morris Township Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot at 8:30 am at Ginty Field. Registration starts at 7 am, rain or shine. Call 973-538-8049 for more.
FRIDAY, NOV. 29:
Madison’s annual Holiday Arts Festival, featuring 39 events at 10 venues, runs from 11 am to 5 pm, followed by a Christmas Parade at 5:30 pm, proceeding from the Madison Ambulance Corps building down Prospect Street onto Main Street, ending at Condurso Way with the Christmas tree lighting at 6:30 pm. Presented by the Madison Arts & Culture Alliance, the festival continues on Saturday from noon to 5 pm.
The Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series in Morris Township presents a special concert by Livingston Taylor, with opener Juliana Parker Edelston, at 7:30 pm. Tickets: $35. At the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road.
The Mayo Performing Arts Center presents Manhattan Comedy Night at 8 pm. Mature themes, language. Adults only. Tickets: $25-$30. At 100 South St., 973-539-8008.

The Mayo Performing Arts Center presents A Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis, at 3 pm and 8 pm. Tickets: $59-$99. At 100 South St., 973-539-8008.
SUNDAY, DEC. 1:
Grow It Green Morristown kicks off the Seventh Annual Winter Farmers Market, from 10 am to 1 pm at the Alexander Hamilton School in Morristown. More than a dozen regional vendors will sell everything from pasture-fed meat to winter produce. Every Sunday (except Dec. 29) through March 29, 2020.
The Mayo Performing Arts Center presents Holiday for Toys, a musical for all ages, at 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm. Tickets: $12-$15. At 100 South St., 973-539-8008.
Actors will portray John Hancock and his wife at 2 pm at the Washington’s Headquarters Museum in Morristown, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the local Jewish community’s donation of an 18th century chest that once belonged to Hancock. The gift was a thank you to the nation for its support during World War II. The piece will be displayed in the Ford Mansion. Light refreshments. UPDATE! SANTA HAS BEEN SNOWED OUT!! LOOK FOR HIM ON THE GREEN ON FRIDAY, DEC. 6! Santa descends from the roof of Century 21 shortly after 5 pm, and he’s staying through Dec. 22 at the Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green. The holiday lights go on this evening, along with festive music and a chance to deliver your wishes to the jolly old elf himself. Presented by the Morristown Partnership, the Festival will feature activities for all ages over the next few weekends. Read our preview.
