Morristown Police have updated their traffic advisory for James Street, for today, Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019.

Initially, plans called for a portion to be closed in both directions for most of the day, so utility crews could upgrade the electrical system to provide power to the new apartment building next to town hall.

As of 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, James Street only will be closed to northbound traffic between Maple Avenue and South Street, police said:

From 6 am until 5 pm, Traffic traveling Northbound on James Street can follow the detour: Left turn onto Maple Avenue, Right turn onto Miller, leading back to South Street. Detour signs are in place.
