THURSDAY, NOV. 14, 2019:

The Morristown & Township Library continues its Film Noir series with free screenings of Out of the Past (1947, Robert Mitchum) at 2 pm and 6:45 pm. Light refreshments. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

Pulitzer Prize finalist S.C. Gwynne will discuss his book, Hymns of the Republic: The Story of the Final Year of the American Civil War, at 7 pm in the The Morristown & Township Library. Admission: Free. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

An Evening with Danny Bacher & Special Guest Marilyn Maye brings big band excitement to the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morris Township at 7:30 pm. Tickets: $22-$25. In Dolan Hall, at 2 Convent Road.

FRIDAY, NOV. 15:

Morning Yoga with Munah Hayes returns to the Morristown & Township Library at 9:30 am. Free. Bring a yoga mat. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

The Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series in Morris Township presents JP Cormier with openers The Vox Hunters, at 7:30 pm. Admission: $10, ages 12 and under, free. At the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road.

It’s your last weekend to catch Romeo and Juliet at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey in Madison; shows at 2 pm and 8 pm, tickets starting at $49. See Thursday entry for details.

Guitarist Carlos Cuestas and flutist Jenny Cline present a classical duet at 2:30 pm in  Willow Hall.  Tickets: $25. At 330 Speedwell Ave., Morristown.

The Morristown United Methodist Church presents Simple Gifts, a folk music duo, at 7:30 pm. Tickets: $17-$22. At 50 S. Park Place.

SUNDAY, NOV. 17:

It’s the penultimate weekend for the Morristown Farmers Market’s 29th season, from 8:30 am to 2 pm. It concludes next Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019. At Lot 10, behind the Post Office, between Dumont Place and Morris Street. Presented by the Morristown Partnership.

The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Morristown hosts its 9th annual Transgender Day of Remembrance, to remember and pray for those killed in transgender hate crimes on  at 10:30 a.m. An art exhibit also will feature the work of transgender artists in the Transgender Day of Resilience Art Project.
