From the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office:
Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Acting Chief of Investigations Christoph Kimker, and Morris Township Police Chief Mark DiCarlo announce the arrest of Thomas H. Meier, age 35, of Mount Arlington, N.J.
Meier has been charged with one count of Sexual Assault (Second Degree) and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Second Degree).
Meier was employed at Head Start of Morris County as a teacher. On Oct. 8, 2019, a coworker observed Meier engaged in an act of sexual contact upon a three (3) year old child. Thereafter, the matter was reported to staff and law enforcement.
The defendant was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance.
The investigation was conducted by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit and the Morris Township Police Detective Bureau with assistance from the Mount Arlington Police Department.

The charges and allegations are merely accusations, and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
The prosecutor’s office has declined to elaborate. However, the prosecutor’s statement cites Morris Township police.
