43rd ANNUAL MORRISTOWN CRAFTMARKET SET FOR FRIDAY – SUNDAY, OCT. 18-20 AT THE MORRISTOWN ARMORY

Nationally Acclaimed and Charitable Show Will Feature Gifted Artists From Throughout the Country

The Morristown CraftMarket, now celebrating its 43rd consecutive year as a nationally acclaimed and charitable fine art and craft show featuring gifted artists from throughout the country, will be held Friday, Oct. 18 through Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, at the Morristown Armory, 430 Western Ave., in Morris Township

The show hours are:

Friday, Oct. 18: 4pm to 8pm;

Saturday, Oct. 19: 10am to 6pm; and

Sunday, Oct. 20: 10am to 5pm.

Paintings are a highlight of the Morristown CraftMarket. This one is by Jerry Mitchell from Idaho.

“For 43 years, the Morristown CraftMarket has received acclaim as a major cultural and charitable event not only in New Jersey but throughout our nation,” said Show Director Geoffrey Price, a member of the not-for-profit and all-volunteer Kiwanis Club of Randolph Township, which sponsors and runs the Morristown CraftMarket.

“The thousands of patrons who come each year to our show at the Morristown Armory know that we showcase extraordinary, one-of-a-kind and limited edition fine arts and crafts – all made in America by American hands – and that all our profits go to local charities,” said Price.

The exhibiting artists will display and sell their original and magnificent creations in jewelry, leather, ceramics, metal, glass, wood, furniture, mixed media, wearable fiber and more.

Opening Night Reception

The Morristown CraftMarket will host an Opening Night Reception on Friday, Oct. 18, from 4pm – 7pm for patrons who are at least 21 years old. Beer and wine will be sold.

Silent Auction to Benefit Sam’s NICU

Cast your line, and there is no telling what you may catch at the Morristown CraftMarket. This fishy-looking creation is by New York artists Alan & Rosemary Bennett.

For the fourth consecutive year, the show will hold a Silent Auction in loving memory of Robert James (“RJ”) Nelson, III, a brave baby boy who was born 13 1/2 weeks premature and fought hard for the right to live for 82 days.

The Silent Auction will continue to put the show’s spotlight on premature birth, which is a national health crisis. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Morristown Medical Center (“Sam’s NICU”), which helps premature babies and their families.

The Silent Auction will conclude at 5pm on Sunday, Oct. 20. Winners will be notified and need not be present.

A coupon for $2 off the $10 admission price is available online at www.MorristownCraftMarket.org. Children under 12 with an adult are free. The show is barrier free for disabled persons and pet-friendly so well-behaved dogs and cats on a leash are welcome.
