It’s time for some Morris Township roads to a get a facelift. Here is the 2019 Annual Overlay Program, from Morris Township Public Works Superintendent Thomas J. Eschmann:

Dear Residents,

The Department of Public Works is scheduled to begin the Annual Overlay Program Monday September 16, 2019. The following streets have been designated for milling and paving in 2019:

·        Canfield Way
·        Ellyn Court
·        Godet Place
·        Ketch Road
·        Martin Luther King Avenue
·        North Star Road
·        Sunderland Drive
·        Woodside Road

Oct. 18, 2019, is the estimated completion date for this program. Initially the roads will be milled to remove the old pavement, and then resurfaced with new asphalt.

Delays are to be expected on the designated roads as well as all adjacent roads. This project is weather-related and, therefore, the completion time may be extended if crews are delayed by rain or inclement weather.

The following streets have also been designated for milling and paving in 2019.

·        Old Glen Road
·        Dwyer Lane

At this time we anticipate the process on these streets to begin in November. The Township will post an announcement once a start date has been determined.

Periodic updates and announcements will be posted on the Township website’s Township Highlights or News.

If you have any questions, please contact our Department of Public Works Office at 973-326-7398 or email us.

Sincerely,

Thomas J. Eschmann
Superintendent
