Seeing Eye dogs in training have been a familiar sight around Morristown for decades.

Residents can expect to see many more of these noble canines over the next few days.

More than 200 Seeing Eye dog owners are scheduled to attend a graduate reunion this weekend to celebrate the Seeing Eye’s 90th anniversary.

The reunion runs from Friday, Aug. 23, through Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, at the Hyatt Regency Morristown.

Owners should begin arriving in town on Thursday, for a weekend that includes a Morristown walking tour hosted by Seeing Eye staff and volunteers on Friday morning. Local businesses plan to welcome the visitors with extended hours and discounts, according to the Seeing Eye.

An awards banquet and tour of The Seeing Eye’s Washington Valley Campus in Morris Township also are planned. The last Seeing Eye graduate reunion occurred 10 years ago, during the non-profit’s 80th anniversary.
