Don’t believe any of that sophomore jinx stuff.
The Shrewd Mechanicals, now in their second summer of touring on behalf of the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, are bringing Verily, Madly Thine to Morristown on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, and they have something to prove.
Mainly, that love is blind and jinxes are sophomoric.
Their hour-long presentation promises “a wonderful array of moments from Shakespeare’s plays as well as a few selections from more contemporary authors who have been inspired by one of Shakespeare’s originals,” according to the evening’s sponsor, the Mayo Performing Arts Center.
Showtime is 6:30 pm, near the Vail Mansion reflecting pool (what better place to reflect upon Cupid’s slings and arrows?), and it is free. The address: 110 South St.
