You don’t have to wait until the weekend for summer fun in Greater Morristown. And you don’t have to spend any money, either!
The Music Beyond Borders free lunchtime series continues on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, with Colombian salsa by Armando Son Jimenez’ Grupo Sabor.
Presented by Morris Arts, the hour-long performance starts at 12:30 pm on the Morristown Green. If the weather does not cooperate, the show moves into the Morristown United Methodist Church across the street.
At 7 pm Tuesday, the Morris Township Department of Parks and Recreation presents the Hanover Wind Symphony in a free concert at Ginty Field, 45 Woodland Ave. Bring a lawn chair or beach blanket.
Salsa continues in Morristown on Wednesday, July 10, with a 6:30 pm dance lesson in front of the Vail Mansion, courtesy of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio. Salsa Under the Stars continues with dancing from 7 pm to 8:30 pm, to music by the Newark Arts High Latin Band. Presented by the Mayo Performing Arts Center. You guessed it–all free.
If you’re in the mood for a movie on Wednesday, keep those lawn chairs and beach blankets handy. Morris Township’s park rec folks are presenting A Dog’s Way Home (PG) at Ginty Field. Music and activities start at 7:30 pm, and showtime is at dusk. No charge for this one, either.
