MORRISTOWN PBA HOSTING CHARITY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Director Michael C. Corcoran, Acting Chief Darnell Richardson, and PBA Local 43 President Dennis Bergman are proud to announce their support for MoTown’s Finest 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament.

This charity event, being hosted and run by the men and women of Morristown PBA Local 43, will bring together the greater Morristown community to support a fantastic neighborhood initiative.

MoTown’s Finest 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will be held at the newly renovated Cauldwell Playground on Saturday, July 20, 2019, with the action kicking off at 10 am.

All money raised as a part of this tournament will be donated to the Morristown Neighborhood House and will be used to directly benefit this community.

Registrations are open to individual players 15 and older as well as teams of 3 players. Teams are guaranteed to play a minimum of 2 games where the first to 11 points wins.

The idea behind this tournament was formed immediately after the Flagler Street fire in April that displaced several of our community members.

Detective Scott Pino began inquiring about how PBA Local 43 could help those in need. As clothing and housing needs had already been met by to the generous efforts of our community, spearheaded by the Town of Morristown and the Morristown FMBA Local 43, the decision was made to host a 3 on 3 basketball tournament that could raise funds to be used by the community.

This event is being held with the generous support of the Town of Morristown, the Morristown Neighborhood House, the Morristown Housing Authority, and No Idea Sports. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and donations will be gladly accepted.

Event information and registration is available at MotownsFinest3on3.eventbrite.com
