The Morris Choral Society presents “Greatest Hits from Opera and Broadway”

The Morris Choral Society presents its 2019 spring concert Greatest Hits from Opera and Broadway in two performances, Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19, 2019, at the historic Morristown United Methodist Church on the Green.

MCS Music Director Jason Tramm will lead the distinguished Morris Choral Society and featured soloist soprano Christina Major in a concert of unforgettable masterworks written exclusively for chorus by Verdi, Puccini, Mozart, Wagner, Offenbach and Mascagni, and hits from the Great White Way including medleys from Bernstein’s West Side Story and Phantom of the Opera, selections from Oh, Kay!, A Little Night Music, and The Tender Land.

The concerts also will feature show tunes by the popular ensemble Express Male.

Performances will take place on Saturday at 8 pm and on Sunday at 3 pm at the United Methodist Church, at 50 S. Park Place in Morristown.

The MCS is funded in part by the Arts Council of the Morris Area through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
