Platinum Minds Leading The Way Fundraiser/Dance recognizes high achieving youth from our urban areas
Platinum Minds “Leading The Way” Fundraiser Dinner/Dance will be held at Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge on May 9, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Please visit www.platinumminds.org to purchase tickets or to donate.
Platinum Minds is a New Jersey non-profit organization that for the last 12 years has been offering boys and young men from areas such as Morristown, Plainfield, East Orange, Newark, Asbury Park and Neptune the opportunity to excel to their fullest potential by providing weekly programs that develop and enhance academic readiness and leadership skills.
Platinum Minds has helped hundreds of at-risk youth in New Jersey, through six ongoing leadership development initiatives: It’s Frederick Douglass Reading Program; Arete Leadership programs; Connect to Your Dreams: Bridges; Summer Camps; Tuition Assistance; and Mentoring.
On May 9th Platinum Minds Leading The Way Fundraiser/dance will be recognizing their graduates and high achieving scholars along with Newark Authors Jonathan Frejuste, Marc Demetriou and community leader and mentor Brian W. Shaw of Morristown for their involvement and passion in helping the youth and generosity with the Platinum Minds program through their financial support and volunteerism as mentors and speaker.
The entertainment will be the 2014 Baby Boomer American Idol Winner Julian Hernandez.
