They say you can’t take it with you.
Not into the next life, anyway.
But for some pocket change on Saturday, you can take lots of nifty items back to your home in this world.
The Morristown United Methodist Church is hosting its 25th annual rummage sale from 8 am to 3 pm on April 13, 2019.
Proceeds benefit the church youth group’s July mission trip to repair homes in rural West Virginia, said Vincent Cattano, who is overseeing the sale and the trip.
Thousands of donated items include furniture, kitchenware, jewelry, electronics, toys, athletic gear and more.
“We’re trying to keep prices very reasonable to sell as much as we can, to raise as much as we can,” Cattano said.
In a minor miracle that repeats itself every spring, a few dozen volunteers have set up this vast sea of items in a matter of days. Since last Sunday’s worship service, to be exact. Volunteers were busily arranging and pricing things when we snapped these photos.
“A lot of work goes into this,” said Cattano, who expressed confidence. “We’ll be ready for Saturday morning.”
The church is at 50 S. Park Place. Call 973-538-2132 for more.
