Citing the wintry weather, Morris Township has postponed the committee meeting that was scheduled for tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019.
It will move to next Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 7 pm. The governing body will discuss its proposed anti-vaping ordinance at that time.
The Morristown & Township Library has closed early because of the snow, and the Morris School District, which had planned early dismissals, shut down completely. The National Weather Service predicts up to four inches of snow for Greater Morristown on Feb. 20, followed by mixed precipitation and then rain into early Thursday, Feb. 21.
Gov. Murphy declared a state of emergency ahead of the snow.
