The End in Sight
There is less than a month to go before we return to the Church on the Green for worship! A lot has been accomplished during the month of January. Master Crafts put the finishing touches on the new wall on the Chancel. David Smith has finished some touch up painting. J&S Floors laid the new carpet. The new acoustic system was commissioned and a first round of cleaning was done. Foley Baker, Inc. will reinstall all the organ pipes and tune the organ, a job that will take 2 weeks. The Lighting Design Group will aim and focus each of the new light fixtures. The newly refinished Chancel furnishings will be put in place. The Senior Highs will return all the Bibles and hymnals that have been in storage to their rightful place in the pew racks. The new pew cushions will be delivered and installed. Ostergaard Acoustics will fine tune the sound system. And a second and third round of cleaning will take place.
There is one more opportunity to contribute to this project. February 18 – March 2, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (except Sundays), J&S Floors
of Morristown has set aside a number of high end carpet remnants that they are offering in exchange for a donation to PCM for the renovation project. You decide the carpet value and pay that amount! Contact Carolyn Crosthwaite
. Please share with your friends, neighbors, colleagues anyone who might be in the need of carpeting.
It has been a long process, but we believe everyone will be astonished at what has been done. We look forward to welcoming the congregation back at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 3. Be on the lookout for more specifics in the weeks to come.
