12th MORRISTOWN ONSTAGE – TICKETS ON SALE

Talent show at Mayo Performing Arts Center on February 27th will spotlight the best amateur talent from Morristown, Morris Plains and Morris Township.

The Morris Educational Foundation announced that tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019 at noon for its 12th annual talent show, Morristown ONSTAGE.

The talent show will showcase the best amateur talent from Morristown, Morris Plains and Morris Township. The event will be held on Feb. 27th, 2019, at 7 pm at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, New Jersey.

Four distinguished arts and entertainment professionals will judge the competition.

Again this year there will be a $1,000 cash prize for 1st place for contestants ages 19 and over, $1,000 cash prize for 1st place for contestants ages 18 and under, and a $500 award for the “Audience Choice” Winner which will be voted on that night at the show.

The Morris Educational Foundation will also award for the Rossoff Rising Star Award for a contestant to further pursue their talent.

The MEF is celebrating the rich history of our community with the theme of this year’s show “HISTORY HAPPENS HERE.” Visit the Morris Educational Foundation on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to learn more and participate in their history-related polls and contests leading up to the show.

Atlantic Health System’s Morristown Medical Center is the event’s Headline Sponsor and, once again, the Master of Ceremonies and host of the show will be Morristown-resident and Morris School District parent, Tara Bernie, senior correspondent for DailyMailTV.

We are proud to give our community’s local amateur talent an opportunity to perform in front of their hometown in the beautiful Mayo Performing Arts Center,” said Molly Servais, MEF Board Member and Chair of the Morristown ONSTAGE Committee.

“The Morris Educational Foundation is an integral part of the Morris School District and this fund raising event will further the Foundation’s ability to distribute financial and other resources to and for the Morris School District for enrichment programs and other projects aimed at enhancing the quality of education and educational opportunities for students in the district,” added Patty Haralampoudis, Chair of the Board of the Morris Educational Foundation.

Last year, the event raised over $143,000 for the Morris Educational Foundation.
