Greater Morristown offers some musical treats this weekend, culminating with food for the soul: Celebrations of the life of Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

THURSDAY,  JAN. 17, 2019:

The Music at Noon series continues at the Morristown United Methodist Church with pianist Carolyn Enger, presenting Resonance, featuring Schubert, Rorem, and more. Suggested donation: $10/$8 seniors. Lunch available for purchase at 11:30 a.m., $8/$7 seniors. Music begins at 12:15 p.m. At 50 South Park Place, across from the Morristown Green, 973-538-2132.

UPDATE: These shows have been rescheduled for Feb. 18, 2019 (Presidents Day) because of the weekend forecast. Morristown’s Mayo Performing Arts Center presents American Girl Live, at 2 pm and 5:30 pm. Ages 5 and up. Tickets $29-$79. At 100 South St., 973-539-8008.

Grace Episcopal Church in Madison presents Voyage en France, an hour-long French recital program performed by Patricia Ruggles, mezzo; Carolle-Ann Mochernuk, piano; and Robert Romano, clarinet, at 7:30 pm. The Morris County Winter Farmers Market continues its sixth season, every Sunday morning from 10 am to 1 pm through March 31, 2019, at Morristown’s Alexander Hamilton School, 24 Mills St. Presented by the Foodshed Alliance and Grow It Green Morristown.

The MLK Observance Committee’s Annual Interfaith Breakfast will honor Martin Luther King Jr. at 8 am at the Hyatt Regency Morristown. The Rev. Dr. Javier Viera, dean of the School of Theology at Drew University, is the keynote speaker. Tickets start at $35. At 3 Speedwell Ave.

Calvary Baptist Church will present a noontime service celebrating the life of Martin Luther King Jr., at 10 Martin Luther King Ave. in Morristown. All are welcome.
