Greater Morristown is serving up bushels of fun this weekend, from live performances by actor Matthew Broderick and Hungarian pianist Peter Toth to triple tenors, dueling violinists and dancing Nutcrackers.

THURSDAY, DEC. 13, 2018:

Music at Noon at the Morristown United Methodist Church presents Violins in Conversation, featuring Gabriel Schaff and Lisa Steinberg. Admission: Free.  Half-hour concert starts at 12:15 pm; luncheon available for purchase ($8 adults, $7 seniors) starting at 11:30 am. At 50 South Park Place, 973-538-2132.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey in Madison presents The Winter’s Tale, at 8 pm. Tickets start at $49. Runs through Dec. 30, 2018. At 36 Madison Ave., 973-408-5600.

FRIDAY, DEC. 14:

Morning Yoga with Munah Hayes returns to the Morristown & Township Library at 9:30 am. Free. Bring a yoga mat. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

The Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green resumes from noon to 7 pm with Santa visits, Holiday Crafts with Preschool Advantage, and performances by the Original Music School. Presented by the Morristown Partnership.

Matthew Broderick, star of stage and screen, returns to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown for readings of Truman Capote’s A Christmas Memory, co-starring the actor’s sister, church Rector Janet Broderick. Performances at 6 pm and 8 pm. Tickets: $25. At Miller Road and Maple Avenue, 973-538-0555, x114.

The Minstrel’s revamped open stage offers two stages, to ensure everyone gets a shake at performing. Arrive at 7 pm to sign up; performances start at 7:30. Admission: $10; $5 for anyone under age 21. At the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road, Morris Township.

The New Jersey Ballet presents Nutcracker, with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, at Morristown’s Mayo Performing Arts Center at 7:30 pm. The show runs through Dec. 27, 2018. Tickets: $29-$69. At 100 South St., 973-539-8008.

SATURDAY, DEC. 15:

Community Helpers: Firefighters, an exhibit celebrating firefighting, opens at the Morris Museum in Morris Township. Some 125 fire station objects from Greater Morristown and across Morris County are on display through Feb. 28, 2018. Admission: $7-$10. At 6 Normandy Heights Road, (973) 971-3700.

The Morris County Winter Farmers Market is back for its sixth season, every Sunday morning from 10 am to 1 pm through March 31, 2019, at Morristown’s Alexander Hamilton School, 24 Mills St. Presented by the Foodshed Alliance and Grow It Green Morristown.

The Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green continues from noon to 7 pm with Santa visits, Macculloch Hall Thomas Nast Ornament coloring activity, performances by the Original Music School, and free train rides.

The Morristown National Historical Park presents a free concert by Hungarian pianist Peter Toth at 1 pm. He will perform a program of  Beethoven and Liszt on the park’s 1873 Steinway Grand Piano.  The recital is in the auditorium of the Washington’s Headquarters Museum at 30 Washington Place, 973-539-2016 x204.
