A cold snap is heading our way, starting on Tuesday. The National Weather Service predicts daytime temperatures in the 30s, dipping into the 20s overnight through the weekend.

Here’s more from Mayor Tim Dougherty’s office:

When temperatures drop below 20 degrees, the County of Morris OEM & the Town of Morristown activate its Warming Center(s).  The Town reminds residents and community members to take precautions during these frigid temperatures. If possible, stay indoors and when venturing outside, dress appropriately.

Taking preventive action is your best defense against injury caused by extreme cold weather. By preparing your home and car in advance for winter emergencies, and by observing safety precautions during times of extremely cold weather, you can reduce the risk of weather related injury and hazards.
