Seems like we just put away the flip-flops and shorts…and now it’s time to grab our snow boots and shovels.

The predicted snowfall is happening as we write this on Thursday afternoon. Which means… Morristown residents can park free overnight, starting at 6 pm, Nov. 15, 2018, through Friday, Nov. 16, at 8 am, in these Morristown Parking Authority garages:

*DALTON GARAGE at Cattano Avenue
*DEHART STREET GARAGE (VERY LIMITED AVAILABILTY)
*ANN/BANK PARKING GARAGE

Mayor Tim Dougherty’s office reminds drivers they will need to prove residency via their driver’s licenses to get parking fees waived.

If you exit after 8 am on Friday, you also may be subject to fees.

Meanwhile, warming centers will be open in the Senior Center at Town Hall (200 South St.) until 4:30 pm on Thursday, and again between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm on Friday.

The Fire House at 161 Speedwell Ave. also will serve as a warming center between 10 pm and 8:30 am through Friday.
