It’s just like clockwork: The Morristown Partnership returns Santa’s House to the Green, and the forecasters call for snow.
Santa’s House isn’t quite open for business–that happens on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, around 5 pm, when Santa arrives for the month-long Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green.
The season’s first snowfall is expected sooner, this Thursday, Nov. 15. From the National Weather Service:
Snow and sleet, mainly after 2pm. High near 32. Northeast wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 10pm, then rain or freezing rain between 10pm and 2am, then rain after 2am. Low around 32. Northeast wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.
