THURSDAY, NOV. 1, 2018:

shadow of a doubt posterThe Morristown & Township Library presents a free screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1942 thriller, Shadow of a Doubtat 6:45 pm. Doors open at 6:15; light refreshments. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

The Psychedelic Furs, with opener Liz Brasher, come to Morristown’s Mayo Performing Arts Center at 7:45 pm. Tickets: $29-$69. At 100 South St., 973-539-8008.

FRIDAY, NOV. 2:

Morning Yoga with Munah Hayes returns to the Morristown & Township Library at 9:30 am. Free. Bring a yoga mat. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

Calling all artists: Morris Arts is hosting a meet and greet, from 7 pm to 9 pm at Morristown’s Raven Room. Food, cash bar, live jazz by local guitarist PJ Brutzman. At 36 Speedwell Ave. RSVP here.

SATURDAY, NOV. 3:

The Market Street Mission hosts its annual winter coat giveaway on the Morristown Green from 10 am to 1 pm. Free to men, women and children in need. Rain moves everyone inside the Mission at 9 Market St.

CANCELLED BY WEATHER Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty and the town environmental commission will cut the ribbon for Kleitman’s Woods, the town’s first new park in 50 years, at 11 am. At the corner of Hillcrest and Wallace avenues.

Opera at Florham presents The Demonic and the Debonair-Men We Love and Hate in Opera at 2 pm, at Lenfell Hall in the Mansion at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison. Tickets: $10-$30. At 285 Madison Ave.

The Combined Choirs of Grace Episcopal Church, led by Anne Matlack, performs the U.S. premiere of Paul Mealor’s new Requiem Mass The Shadows of War, a 20-minute work for chorus, strings and percussion commemorating WWI, at 7 pm in Grace Church, Madison. The Senior Sisters of Villa Walsh in Morris Township present their annual Christmas Bazaar from noon to 5 pm, at 455 Western Ave., in the Mother Ninenetta Auditorium.

The Morristown & Township Library presents Japan and Its Prints in the Floating World, a discussion of Japanese prints from 1600-1867, at 2 pm. Free. At One Miller Road, Morristown.
