October 16, 2018, is the deadline to register to vote in person or by mail in New Jersey. New Jersey does not allow online registration. Morris County voters can register in person at the Board of Elections, Administration & Records Building, Morristown, or download the form (English, Spanish) and mail it to the Board of Elections (address below) postmarked midnight Oct. 16.
Everything there is to know about voting can be found at VOTE411 or call the VOTER HOTLINE 1-800-792-VOTE (8683). Most importantly, the League is here to help you Know and Understand Your Voting Rights!
Did you know that anyone can Vote by Mail? An absentee ballot is not just for people out of town. It’s convenient and guarantees you’ll “turn out” to vote. An Application for Vote by Mail Ballot must be submitted by mail 7 days before the Election or in person the day before. The ballot must be postmarked or submitted in person on ELection Day (November 6, 2018).
A list of races and candidate forums in the Morristown area, sponsored by the nonpartisan League of Women Voters, can be found at LWVMorrisArea. Tomorrow, October 11, the Wayne League of Women Voters is hosting a Congressional District 11 candidates forum at 8:15pm at the Wayne Council Chambers, 475 Valley Road in Wayne.
