Sherrill, Webber to appear at candidates’ forums in Whippany, Ogdensburg, Oct. 9

Want to compare the 11th District Congressional candidates in person?

Democrat Mikie Sherrill and Republican Assemblyman Jay Webber are scheduled to appear at two candidates’ forums on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018.

First up, at 6:30 pm, it’s the Jewish Federation of Metrowest NJ, at 901 Route 10 East, Whippany.  RSVP at the website.

Then, at 7 pm, the Ogdensburg Historical Society hosts its annual candidates night, at the firehouse at 1 Firehouse Lane. Several candidates are on the list; Sherrill and Webber may go later in the evening.

On Wednesday, Oct. 10, NJTV will broadcast an 8 pm debate between the Congressional hopefuls.

Sherrill and Webber are vying to succeed Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-11th Dist.), who is retiring after 12 terms in Congress.

Election Day is Nov. 6;  the deadline for registering to vote is Oct. 16.

  1. I hope it gets mentioned in the upcoming debates and reported on that by the local news outlets that Jay Webber and Bob Hugin signs continue to be vanadalised and stolen off of private property.
    Not only is it a citizens constitutional right to have an opinion of and support a candidate, but it is their right to show that support on their property without fear of trespassers.
    We have a new born baby in the house and now have to worry about dangerous trespassing strangers with motives of destruction and hate coming to vandalize our property in the night.
    Unfortunately, this seems to be a one sided affair as Sherrill signs continue to remain in the positions they are placed.
    I hold all campaigns and candidates responsible for the actions of their supports and call on them to immediately disavow these vandals and encourage them to practice civility.

    If this is what the tolerant left looks like, then I want no part of it!!!
