From the Morristown Police:
The Seeing Eye will be hosting The Doggy Dash Walk and Run 5K this Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, in the Lidgerwood Park neighborhood from 9:30 am until noon.
This race will be limited in its impact to traffic, however a few roads will be closed at the start of the event.
Lidgerwood Parkway will be closed from 9 am until noon. Northbound James Street will be closed for a brief time to accommodate the race start; motorists will be detoured to Ogden Place, to Miller Road, to Maple Avenue.
James Street then will reopen to northbound vehicle traffic, as runners will share the road on the return loop back to Lidgerwood Parkway.
The race course will take runners from Lidgerwood Parkway to Glenwood Crestwood, Knollwood and Edgewood roads; back to Lidgerwood Parkway, to Paula Court, Rona Road, and Windmill Collins and Bell drives in Morris Township; to Cottonwood Road and Applewood Lane, and then back northbound on James Street to Lidgerwood Parkway.
Roadways will be open during the event, so please use caution if traveling in these areas on Sunday. Uniformed police officers and race marshals will be on hand to assist.
