The Morristown High School football team notched its first victory of the 2018 season, leaving Chatham on Saturday on the long end of a 24-15 score.
Jason Jones got things rolling in the first quarter with an 84-yard touchdown on a kickoff return, with an extra point by Ryan Deveney.
The Cougars (1-2) answered with a score, but the Colonials took a 10-7 lead into halftime thanks to 32-yard field goal by Devaney.
Chatham posted a 15-10 lead in the third quarter with a touchdown and two-point conversion.
But =touchdown runs by Lance Davis and Jack Woodworth sealed the win for Morristown (1-2). The Colonials will try to even their record this weekend, Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at home vs. Roxbury at 1 pm.
