Football opener: Randolph tops Morristown, 43-14

Randolph bested Morristown High 43-14 in Friday night’s 2018 varsity football opener.

Jason Jones, a junior, put the Colonials on the scoreboard first, reaching the end zone in the first quarter. Senior Ryan Devaney kicked the extra point.

The same duo scored again for Morristown in the fourth quarter.  In between, the Rams got three touchdowns from Anthony Sofia, plus TDs from Matt Pout and Darren Rice.

The Colonials (0-1) will try to even their record on Saturday, Sept. 15, at a 1 pm home game vs. Mendham.
